What is Friends of Rotary?
Friends of Rotary offers a flexible, no-commitment way to participate in Rotary’s mission of service. Whether it’s volunteering at a local event, attending meetings, or joining social gatherings, you’re welcome to engage as much or as little as you like. No strings attached, just opportunities to help and connect with others.

What’s Expected?
Not much! Participation is fully optional. You’ll receive a newsletter once or twice a month with opportunities to volunteer, meet, and connect. Choose the events and activities that work best for you—on your terms.
What Can’t Friends of Rotary Do?
While Friends of Rotary have access to service projects, meetings, and social events, there are a few things that are exclusive to full Rotary members:
- Voting Rights: Friends do not have voting privileges for club decisions, such as board elections or bylaw changes.
- Holding Office: Only full members can serve in leadership positions (e.g., President, Treasurer) or on the board.
- Access to Member-Exclusive Programs: Participation in certain Rotary International programs (like leadership development courses) may be limited to full members.
- Contribution to Club Governance: Friends are welcome to contribute ideas but are not involved in the formal decision-making process of the club.
